As we come to the close of 2018, surely we all have some regrets from this year. The anticipation of a new year is a good time to follow the Apostle Paul’s advice and “…forget what lies behind and reach forward to what lies ahead.” Today, we consider the life of Moses and see that our God is graciously a God of second chances!
v. 20-22 - Moses was widely respected.
v. 23-29 - Moses was eventually rejected
Things rarely work out well when we do things our way rather than God’s way.
We must remember that we cannot do God’s work in our own strength.
Ref Zechariah 4:6 and John 15:5
v. 30-36 - Moses was gracious restored (when he learned the lesson)
Ref Hebrews 11:23-29
Our God is a God of second chances!
Read Luke 15:11-24 for a reminder of the example of the prodigal son and his second chance!
