Sinners in His Hands

Presented by Pastor Randy Capote

Someone once said, "There are only two things certain in life: death and taxes!"  Yet, according to Hebrews 9:27, "...it is appointed to man once to die and then comes the JUDGEMENT!" So I would say a future judgement day or day of reckoning is just as certain as death. But to be clear there are two distinct judgements. One is the Bema Seat of Christ and is for the believer, and the other is the Great White Throne judgement seat of Christ and this will be for nonbelievers. Today, we want to focus on the latter. Now most people do not want to talk or think about judgment, but justice is a part of God's character as much as His love, grace, and mercy. In fact, if we do not understand His justice, we will never fully appreciate His love, grace, and mercy. So join me as we continue our series on "End Times", and study the Great White Throne judgement seat of Christ for the wicked dead or the nonbeliever, as we look at Revelation 20:11-15.

(11)Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. (12)And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. (13)And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. (14)Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. (15)And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
